The new Peugeot 308, modern and elegant, which arrived on the market at the end of 2021, is part of the "300 Series", the most complete in the history of the Peugeot brand, which began in 1932 with the Peugeot 301. From the Peugeot 301 to the new Peugeot 308, 10 generations and 90 years of automotive history and technical progress have passed. The only generation that was skipped was Peugeot 303. In the following models, there was another exception: the 309, which was launched between the 305 and 306, with two "Car of the Year" titles since 2000, in addition to outstanding participation in the rallies.

The Peugeot 308 returns to our market with a sporty and muscular appearance, intending to lead sales in the segment of family and making a niche for those who are looking for a vehicle with which to move with four or five occupants and their luggage and at the same time differentiate yourself from those who follow fashion and opt for an SUV.

The truth is that the new model is not lacking in virtues. With only 6 centimeters more in length compared to its 5-door little brother, it achieves a huge trunk that, according to versions, ranges from 608 to 1,634 liters. And all this without losing absolutely anything of dynamism and even sporty character, something that is not achieved with crossovers.

Peugeot's proposal for this SUV focuses on three types of combustion. The Peugeot 308 plug-in hybrid is available with two 180 and 225-hp engines, an e-AT8 automatic gearbox, and autonomy in electric mode of up to 60 km. Highly recommended for those who make most of their journeys in urban environments but do not want to give up long-distance breaks or business trips. Despite the 'extra' weight of the battery, it is not difficult to move in consumption close to 5l/100km, even once the battery is exhausted.

The second possibility is to opt for a gasoline engine, with powers of 110 and 130 hp, and a 6-speed manual transmission9 or an EAT8 automatic transmission.

The third option, and nothing to rule out no matter how many attempts have been made to portray it as wicked and to threaten the diesel engines, is the Peugeot 308 SW diesel, with 130 hp and the option of a 6-speed manual transmission or an EAT8 automatic transmission. Although the prices of this fuel have risen above gasoline, and despite its fame, as polluting, the truth is that this version has CO2 emissions of less than 120 g, so it is exempt from paying the tax registration.

With the new Peugeot i-Connect connectivity system, the wireless Mirroring function allows you to interact with two phones via Bluetooth at the same time. The experience is completed with the connected navigation system and the "OK PEUGEOT" voice recognition control, which allows easy access to the infotainment functions.

As for the assistants and driving aids, the car integrates the semi-autonomous driving system with the Drive Assist 2.0 pack that launches the semi-automatic lane change, the adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function, and lane keeping assist.

In addition, the new Peugeot 308 SW has a long-range blind spot monitoring system, rear traffic alert, which warns of possible dangers when reversing, 360° parking assistance, the AQS system (Air Quality System), and the Hi-Fi Premium FOCAL system. The new Peugeot 308 SW is already on sale for 24,950 euros plus taxes.
